I have been in a similar situation and the best advice i can give is to do what ever is going to make you happy and make your life better. no matter how much you care about him and vise verse he is never going to stop unless he is ready to. he does sound like a nice guy who cares about you, dont take it personal that he wont get help! and if you decide to leave you will find someone else who treats you great without the drinking. if i were you i would sit down and have a talk with him. tell him how you feel. tell him you will leave if he dosent straighten up. you could give him one last chance. give him other alternatives for help besides rehab.( but be careful if you do because detoxing off of drinking is one of the few that can actually kill you.) tell him you wish you could stay with him but if he continues down that path he is forcing you to leave. if he dosent then im sorry. leave and tell him you might be around if he decides to clean up. but no matterer what happens with him, dont you think you deserve a better life then that. do not be scared that you will not find someone as good but sober,because you will! and your life will be better with or without a man when you dont have a crying,falling down drunk to take care of.. hope i helped!! good luck!
